Kanji is a fermented drink made from carrots, water, and a bit of black salt. It is very easy to make, but there are some tricks to get it right.
Also, though some hard core people drink it straight, I don’t know anyone personally who does. Most I know have it as an ingredient in a kind of punch that has juice and maybe a bit of sugar.
