Verguni is a traditional Ukrainian cookie made from unleavened yeast-free dough, fried in vegetable oil. Depending on the regions, the dough and shape of cookies may differ. In the Kiev version of vergunov, in addition to the standard components, rum and almonds were added, in Konotop — lemon zest, and so on.
