About Modern Traditional

ModernTraditional.com is a site for modern people who prefer to wear traditional or ethnic clothing.  Unlike most sites, we support modesty in both the conventional sense as well as the de sexualization of nudity and partial nudity.  There should be safe contexts in which people can be their natural selves, but outside of these contexts, we support and encourage modest attire.

So we cover subjects ranging from hijab, frum, and traditional Christian style modesty to tribal naturism.  The idea is to bring sanity back into fashion and to highlight designers, trends, and movements that accomplish that.

We also promote national and ethnic styles of dress, cooking, and living.  Rather than merely co opting the convenient or trendy bits of cultures, we try to explain to people where styles came from and make them relevant as more than just fads.
