Color Bubble: Cool Dark

Makeup for Dark Skin Cool Dark Color Bubble
When you are so close to black, there aren't many colors on the makeup shelf aside of black that are darker than you.  You have the advantage of being able to use contrast to accent your features in a way that lighter skinned people don't.

So before you reach for the black eyeliner, move your hand to the side a little, and try the navy blue instead.  It will bring your eyes out more without making them look smaller and more closed.

You can wear pink, and you can definitely wear mauve.  The thing you need to be careful of however, is coverage.  Wearing a sheer pink or mauve will look great, but an opaque pink or mauve looks clownish on dark skin.

Let the pigment or glitter do the talking in your makeup choices.
